Veterans Commission
Established the Charles County Commission for Veterans Affairs in 2018, creating a stronger support network for veterans and their families while recognizing veterans as a valuable workforce and economic asset to the County.
Appointed the County’s first Veterans Service Manager in 2018, creating a dedicated position to connect veterans with benefits, employment resources, housing assistance, and local services that help veterans remain active, productive members of the community.
Expanded support for veteran-owned businesses through the Charles County Economic Development Department. EDD now promotes events such as “Access to Opportunity,” Business Wellness Workshops, and National Veterans Small Business Week, helping veteran entrepreneurs grow businesses, create jobs, and strengthen the local economy.
